Video Work

A selection of sample work.

Bowman School

Capital Campaign Fundraising

We hear over and over not to have more than one audience. In the case of Bowman School and their capital campaign fundraising video, their audience included both parents and local business giants in the tech field.

My challenge was to find a point of common ground between the parents, business leaders and Bowman School. That point of common ground was the uncertainty of the future of work.

The campaign raised multiple million dollars.

To date the video has over 600,000 views.

Urban Biking

Video Series

I developed the Tips for Urban biking series to answer the most common questions raised by new urban cyclists.

My goal was to create a series that would inspire a diverse set of new cyclists. I choose to illustrate the ideas with a variety of voices.

The series has been featured in blogs across the globe, cycling magazines and film festivals. Most importantly it has inspired many people to start riding.

Earthworks

Awareness Building Campaign

Earthworks Action had documented hundreds of oil and gas fracking sites emitting pollution into the atmosphere but these documents lacked context. I joined their video project as an editor and was asked to create a video that showcased the need for regulation.

In Colorado, oil and gas lobby had created a narrative that natural gas was a green energy alternative that provided jobs.

By countering these narratives this video was part of a change in conversation about the impacts of fracking on human health. The videos in this series helped change methane regulations and raise funds for this campaign.

This video was featured in Upwork and linked in the NYT Op-Ed along with many region papers.

Part of a series of micro stories, showcasing a diverse set of humans talking about their love of human forms of urban movement.

Transit Series

Micro Stories

Micro stories are ephemeral. They are posted, consumed and disappear. And yet they still have the power to remind us why we care about a subject.

I designed this series for social media as reminders that our transportation decisions matter.

ITDP Buenos Aires

Profile Piece

I created this video for the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy Sustainability Award. The video honored the recipients in Buenos Aires and was designed to inspire planners in different cities who also struggle with the challenge of the cultural norms and politics involved in making significant changes to urban infrastructure.

Created to honor the awardee and advertise their call for nominations.
